Verinq was founded by Fred Teeven and Rene Troost. The ultimate responsibility and accountability for good risk management lies with individuals not an organisation. This vision is the foundation of Verinq. We advise on improving risk management with regard to quality, embedding within an organisation and process optimisation through automation.
Fred has been active as a national politician for over more than a decade. First as member of the Dutch Parliament followed by appointment as Dutch Cabinet Minister for Migration and State Secretary for Security and Justice. He is well versed on the political aspects which exist in both public and private organisations.
Before becoming a politician Fred had 30+ year experience in the investigation and prosecution of financial crime. During his career as chief investigator and prosecutor he developed a deep understanding of financial crime risks. All his positions came with media attention where he gained experience in media and reputation management. Fred is an experienced leader of teams at strategic, tactical and operational level.
Rene has been an Executive business leader with 30 years experience leading risk mitigation across the financial services industry, with the regulator (Dutch Central Bank) and the public sector. He is recognised for deep understanding, advising at Board level and is an experienced member of executive governance committees. Valued for developing and progressing talent through coaching and mentoring as well as for building strong strategic networks of key influencers based on core principles of integrity, professionalism and commerciality. Success evidenced by high performing teams, cost prevention / savings, investment projects and crisis management outcome.
